The Wonki Ware plain wash and patterned dinner service is hand crafted by local artisans in the Western Cape of South Africa.
The 16 piece service comprises:
- 4 dinner plates - plain wash
- 4 side plates - mixed patterns - see images
- 4 pudding bowls - mixed patterns - see images
- 4 pasta bowls - plain wash
In this dinner service you will receive a combination of mixed patterns and plain wash pieces.
The patterns will vary according to the shape, so 2 shapes will feature different patterns and 2 shapes will be finished in a plain wash.
This mix of patterns and finishes has always been part of the Wonki Ware charm because it embraces the unique way in which the natural shapes and patterns and colours can complement each other so beautifully.

Each piece is made entirely by hand, so no two pieces will ever be the same. There may be blemishes, colour differences or bumps and curves in different places. This is what gives Wonki Ware its unique beauty and charm. It isn’t machine made, it isn’t uniformly produced and, in our opinion, the minor imperfections are what help to make it practically perfect.

Patterns:The patterns will vary according to the shape, so two of the shapes in this dinner service (Mixed patterns and Plain Wash) will have a different pattern. The other 2 shapes will have a plain wash finish.
If you want your dinner service to look the same then we suggest ordering a full plain wash dinner service as there is no variation in pattern on this.

Dishwasher Safe:The plates and bowls are safe to be put in the dishwasher, please just take care to stack the items carefully and don't lean heavy items on them.
